Short, honest, and you can switch it off.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It lets the site remember things between page views — for example the language you chose. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage, which works the same way from your point of view.
This policy uses the word "cookies" for all of them.
2. The legal basis, plainly
Under UK PECR and the EU/Polish ePrivacy rules, cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work may be used without asking. Everything else — analytics, advertising, personalisation — requires your prior consent, freely given and just as easy to withdraw as it was to give.

3. What we actually use
Strictly necessary (no consent needed).
hx_lang— remembers whether you chose English or Polish. Stored in your browser, never sent to us, no expiry until you clear your browser data.hx_consent— remembers your answer to the cookie banner, so we do not ask again. Kept for 12 months.
Analytics (only after you agree).
- Google Analytics — how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where they are from. IP addresses are truncated. We use it to decide what to write next, not to identify anyone.
Marketing (only after you agree).
- Meta Pixel — lets us see whether a campaign brought anyone here and show relevant content to people who already visited. Set by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.
If you decline, the analytics and marketing scripts are not loaded at all. Not loaded quietly in the background — not loaded.
4. How to change your mind
- Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page — it reopens the choice at any time.
- Or clear your browser data for this site, which removes every cookie we set and brings the banner back.
- Or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all allow this per site).
Blocking the strictly necessary ones will not break the site, but it will forget your language and ask about cookies on every visit.
5. Who else can see this data
Analytics and marketing cookies are set by Google and Meta, which means those companies process the data as well, under their own terms. Both may transfer data outside the UK and the EEA; both rely on the UK Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for that transfer.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else. The site itself is a set of static files served by Cloudflare — there is no database of visitors and no login.
6. Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you can object to processing. Write to hello@hyxaconnect.com — we answer within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK (ico.org.uk) or to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) in Poland (uodo.gov.pl).
7. Changes
If we add a tool that sets cookies, this page is updated and the banner reappears so you can decide again. The date at the top always tells you when it last changed.
